The hottest ticket in town (and in the world, for that matter) on September 22, 1927, this “RINGSIDE” full voucher was issued at Chicago’s Soldier Field for the Heavyweight Championship bout between Jack Dempsey and Gene Tunney. Encapsulated and Graded VG 3 by PSA, this ticket features printed seating/event details and a (then) hefty “$40.00” face value which, of course, helped lead to the event’s unfathomable $2 million gate. The ticket is accented by ornate finery on the obverse and likenesses of the combatants on the reverse. The fight, incidentally, was won by Tunney, who benefited from the infamous “long count.”
