Under the tutelage of veteran skipper Bucky Harris for the first time, the 1947 New York Yankees scored firsts in home runs (115), team ERA (3.39) and authored a 31-3 stretch from mid-June to mid-July that rendered the remainder of the season a mere formality. Ultimately winners of the 11th World Series crown in franchise annals, (32) members of that 1947 Bronx Bombers roster saw fit to autograph this OAL Harridge ball. The medium-toned orb (grade 6) is home to black-ink fountain pen and blue ballpoint scriptings, Signatures average (6) strength and clarity with a few nicer (as noted). Includes: Sweet Spot DiMaggio (4 strength) and Chandler; North Panel Brown, A. Robinson (4 strength), Bevens, Wensloff (5 strength), Henrich, Drews, Houk and Lindell; South Panel B. Johnson, Berra, McQuinn, Rizzuto (5 strength), Clark (8-9 strength), Phillips (4 strength) and Raschi; West Panel Shea, Keller, Dressen (coach), Newsom, Harris (manager), Stirnweiss and Starr; East Panel Gumpert, Reynolds, Schulte (coach, 9-10 strength), Lollar, Page and D.
