Orange Crush! The 2002-2003 Syracuse Orange men’s basketball squad claimed their lone national championship by vanquishing the Kansas Jayhawks in an 81-78 thriller. While Carmelo Anthony was the most noticeable star on the court, the Captain of the squad was senior Kueth Duany from Sudan. As team leader, Duany got a larger slice of the clippings as attested by this humongous portion of the net from the title game. Three different pieces, measuring 28”, 13-1/2” and 3” in length, these historic twines are accompanied by an 18 x 13-3/4” 2004 Playstation 2 promotional poster depicting Duany hoisting his prize. Also present is a Summer 2003 Syracuse Magazine with a picture showcasing Duany with the net.
