During a five-year period (1972-1976) that saw five different managers and (as expected) waning team fortunes, this Atlanta Braves warm-up jacket was worn to ring in close-fitting and colorful knit apparel. The blue knit button-down garment features “Braves” angled across the chest in white-on-red twill and “43” sewn to the lower left front in like fashion. Red-white-and-blue striped stretch ribbed knit lines the collar, waistline and sleeve endings, while a “Wilson” size “44” label resides within the collar. More on our website.
The jacket’s size, style and uniform number limit its use to either Joe Hoerner (1972-1973), Al Closter (1973), Bruce Dal Canton (1975) or Cito Gaston (1975, 1976).
