This lot hails from the archives of Stanley Warzala, one of the pioneering sports autograph seekers. Warzala hailed from Utica, New York and was a noteworthy boxer in that area. Having idolized Stanley The Michigan Assassin Ketchel who met an untimely demise in 1910, Warzala fought under the name “Stanley Ketchell” to honor his hero.
