Among the many prestigious positions he held Teddy Roosevelt served as Governor of New York during 1899-1900. Presented is an original Executive Order for the extradition of fugitive Daniel J. Donovan to the State of Connecticut. This fascinating document dated 4/5/1899 bears the Great Seal of the State of New York and is elegantly signed (9) in steel tip fountain pen by presiding Governor Theodore Roosevelt. The order has a crisp, solid feel with only minor signs of wear, and is highly suitable for display. Full photo LOA from JSA.
